Leader: Jan Kraft
The Good Neighbor Club (Seasoned Citizens) is a Christian outreach program for Centenary Seniors as well as many good friends who live in the neighborhood. It is led by "Senior Spice". We plan to meet each Thursday at noon with a variety of activities. On some Thursdays, we will go on short day trips (we call ourselves Shunpikers on those days). On other Thursdays, we will have a speaker on topics pertinent to seniors. We will have singing (old time songs like "Let Me Call You Sweetheart and gospel songs). On some days we will play board games and cards. The lunch menu will vary, but it will always be at an affordable cost.
See you soon!
Senior Spice
2009 started with a toe-tapping time when keyboarding Shelby Lynn and his musical group entertained us with some oldies and goodies.
Each Thursday (barring bad weather that closes schools) we meet to have fellowship, catch up on how friends are doing and eat a good meal. Jerry plays during our meal and Shirley lets us sing with her a while even though our singing leaves a bit to be desired.
We have a put-and-take library for everyone on an honor system.
You might even go away with a valuable attendance prize.
The Good Neighbor Club has some great times coming up. The 17th and 18th of June we will be traveling to Bardstown to see the Story of My Old Kentucky Home. We will spend the night.
We will take off the Month of July with no meals from July 2 until Aug. 20.
Drivers are needed for the second annual vacation to the Smokey Mountains on October 26 to 29. We had such fun last year and are counting on Bob and Jan to make it a great time again this year.
See you all on Thursdays at noon.

Simpson Men's Quartet
Senior Spice is happy to announce that the Good Neighbor noon luncheons resumed on Thursday, August 21, 2008 with about 90 persons served a fantastic meal and the Simpson Men'sQuintet as our singing guests. Many of us were singing along and tapping our feet. It was awesome!
Another event-filled year is planned. Great meals, Christian fellowship, music, trips, speakers, and good old-fashioned fun are available for all who participate. Good Neighbors is open to all ages. We meet at noon on three Thursdays a month. On the other Thursday we travel as "Shunpikers". Please join us and bring a "neighbor".
