Sew Blessed

Instructor: Sharon Hollon

The Centenary Church sewing group calls itself Sew Blessed, and gets together to sew twice a month in the Family Life Center. Their many projects include walker caddies, lap quilts, fidget pads, and clothing protectors for area nursing homes. They have donated numerous pillowcases and stuffed bears to the Deaconess Children’s hospital as well as brightly colored surgical caps for surgical nurses. Local volunteer fire departments and the sheriff department were given stuffed bears for helping to calm small children involved in emergency situations, and a women’s shelter receives colorful tote bags each year.

All of the projects are made using simple sewing skills (amid lots of laughter and fun). Sew Blessed is always looking for new helpers, so give Sharon Hollon a call 812-459-2643 for details to join this busy group.
